What needs explaining in your accounts?

Start with the observation rather than naming a solution: an unreconciled bank balance, customer balances that are hard to explain, a difference following migration or a report that does not reflect your operations. These are examples to discuss when defining the examination, not predetermined diagnoses of your system.

The aim is to turn “I need an accountant to fix the system” into a defined problem whose treatment can be discussed. A difference does not establish that the entire software product is unsuitable, and buying a replacement does not automatically explain historical balances.

Systems Aleem checks

The service is not limited to Odoo. Aleem's offer also covers Qoyod, Daftra, Enjaz, Wafeq, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, Excel files and other systems, depending on the platform and data available for examination. Provide the system name and explain how your accounts are held when enquiring so that an appropriate scope can be defined.

You do not need to start by requesting an Odoo migration to benefit from diagnosis. Retaining, repairing or replacing the system is a decision to make after understanding the problem, not an assumption built into the check.

Period and starting point

The check can cover selected periods or begin with the system's initial operation, within the agreed scope. If you have approved financial statements, Aleem uses their opening balances to establish a clearer starting point. Without them, the check starts from the system's own data; disclose this when defining the engagement.

Prepare a description of the problem, the software name, the period you want examined and the available reports and supporting documents. Before work begins, discuss the data required, how it will be made available and what may remain unverifiable if documents are missing. This is a preparation checklist, not a promise that any available file can explain every balance.

What you receive and what is excluded

You receive a report of problems and errors identified within the agreed scope. On delivery, discuss what the data established and what still needs documents or additional examination, so any subsequent repair request is specific.

The diagnostic offer does not include posting corrections, changing software settings, migrating to a new system or ongoing bookkeeping. Do not assume that software security, source-code or infrastructure examination forms part of the accounting check; discuss additional needs separately.

The report is not an independent auditor's report or financial statement certification. SOCPA has warned against offering statement certification or audit without the necessary licence. Do not treat technical and accounting diagnosis as a substitute for licensed professional work.

Start with diagnosis at Aleem

Request an Accounting System Health Check, explaining which accounts you cannot rely on, your software and the period required. Aleem performs the check and delivers the report. If you want the identified problems addressed afterwards, you receive a separate proposal with the appropriate scope. Subsequent bookkeeping is delivered through an accredited partner firm that you contract with and pay directly. Aleem follows through to delivery without performing or signing the partner's work and without a referral commission.
